Finland announced tightened restrictions on travel

Nova Talent, Vesa Laakso

Yesterday (19th August) Finnish Government make new announcement related to travel restrictions. Restrictions will be reintroduced for travelers from Iceland, Greece, Malta, Germany, Norway, Denmark, this will be valid from Monday 24th August. This is based on fact that in those countries COVID19 cases have been increasing since restrictions were initially lifted on 13th July.

Next update to this topic is expected to happen within 2-weeks, on early September 2020.

Finnish Government have set following guideline for updating travel restrictions:

"The government's current policy is that border checks can be relaxed if a country records fewer than eight infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past two weeks."

Hopefully we're able to initiate Erasmus activities gradually and get things running (again).
